Terms of Use
Halloween Monster Hunter is entertainment. It does not detect monsters, spirits, or anything paranormal, and nothing it shows should be treated as evidence of anything.
What the app actually does
The readings on screen are genuine measurements taken from your phone's own sensors — magnetic field, air pressure, ambient light, sound level, motion and step count — presented inside a fiction. Where a phone lacks a sensor, the app says so rather than inventing a number.
The monsters, the voices, the narrative commentary and the "PKE" figure are invented by the app and drawn over your camera view. Room temperature is modelled, not measured: phones have no ambient thermometer. Outdoor temperature, when shown, is real weather data for your area.
The subscription
The lens is free for six minutes of use, counted only while the lens itself is open. After that it stays open with a subscription of €6.99 per month, or the equivalent in your local currency as shown by your store before you confirm.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically each month at the same price until you cancel it. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
- You can cancel at any time — on iPhone and iPad in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, on Android in the Google Play app under Payments and subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next charge; it is not a refund of the month you are in, and the lens stays open until that month runs out.
- The subscription belongs to the store account that bought it and can be brought back on any device signed in to that account with Restore subscription.
Everything else in the app — the field meter, the crypt radio, the night scan, the UV lamp and the case log — is free and unaffected by the trial or the subscription.
Refunds
Purchases and renewals are processed entirely by Apple or Google. Refunds are requested through them, under their policies, not through us.
Safety
The app asks you to walk around in the dark while looking at a screen. Please:
- Watch where you are going, and do not use it while driving or cycling.
- Do not enter buildings or land you do not have permission to be in.
- Do not use it if flashing imagery, sudden loud sound or strong vibration is a problem for you.
Jump scares, sound, vibration and the narrative voice can each be turned off in Settings.
Age
The app is built to frighten adults and older teenagers. It is not suitable for young children.
Acceptable use
Do not use the app to harass, frighten or deceive anyone who has not agreed to take part, and do not present anything it produces as genuine evidence of the paranormal.
No warranty
The app is provided as it is, without warranty. Sensor behaviour varies enormously between phones, augmented reality requires hardware support that not every device has, and some devices have no barometer, light sensor or step counter at all. To the extent permitted by law, MEDIASTAGE S.R.L. is not liable for any loss arising from use of the app.
Changes
If these terms change, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top. A change to the subscription price applies only from the next renewal, and your store will ask you to agree to it first.
